In the sun, the glaciers’ glistnin’
It’s a beautiful place,

On the islands there are lots of penguins
Shags and Giant Petrels they abound
Chris and Heidi count them without failing
Even when the skuas try to knock them down
The ice floes, they’re a floatin’
Back again, there’ll be no boatin’
It’s GSAR ’till then
We thought Doug was our friend

We’re all a bunch of very unique people
Brett has got a beard and wears a bra
Our manager’s sold his soul to Dr. Evil
And who knows what Jennifer puts in her coleslaw?
Later on, in the summer,
We’ll be full, what a bummer
Sleeping in tents
In fifty knot winds

We’ve had lots of problems with the plumbing
Through out it all, Gary kept his cool
Can we please learn how to use the baby grinder?
So Lab 9 doesn’t flood like a cesspool
The beakers are all so crazy
And work so much, we’re feeling lazy
And we’ve got them well trained,
Cooking dinner Sundays,

Karie and Mikey are so cool in Bruiser
Unless you go out with them in a bit of swell
The Oreos and the Pringles and the Chex Mix
The second time around don¹t taste so well
Amsler’s group is a riot
We caught them fish, too bad they died
So we’ll be fishing again
And we love to dive tend

Dan and Dave they just love to dive
Through the ice, from the shore and off the boats
Then they drink martinis on the icebergs
And make passes at anything that floats
Safety is our middle name
We get stars, like in first grade
If we stretch every day
We’ll touch our toes by next May

We have a friend, and his name is Orion
He works up on the hill all alone
We wondered what the heck was he doin’
Then we saw him with the first Blondie clone
Everyone here is so inspiring
Jeff with his boats, he is untiring

Cara and Barb they are the lab queens
Rick and Carmen bust out in cargo ops
But all we wanna know when the ship comes

With computers, they know what to do
They are savvy indeed

David he’s in charge of all our power
He doesn’t sleep, so he stays up all night
Doing donuts in the backyard with the 6-wheeler
And in the morning he is always up by five.
Wendy bakes every day
Pies and cakes, we can’t stay away
We can’t button our pants
Aerobics are our last chance

Everybody has a lot of jobs
All around the station you’ll find Britt
Working hard in milvans and in stockrooms
Unless she’s in the fuel house where she knits
The painters are so frustrated
Ryan and Laura, the snow they hate it

Dave and Sheldon they’re in charge of comms
They’re cool but if you wanna see them freak
Just take a boat alone and radio them
Say you’re going to the Joubins for a week
Brenda’s got all our money
They think that’s wrong, I think it’s funny

Especially when the instructions come in Spanish
They don’t care it’s the pictures they need the most
The Gould it brought us Rudy and Randy
The chicken pox, it spread to Wendy
Kristin had to be mean
and put them in quarantine

Bob is going crazy with all the knitters
They don’t care, they’re rebels through and through
So take those DVSs and you can shove ‘em
